I am a registered and accredited Dramatherapist having graduated with a Masters of Arts in Drama and Movement Therapy (Sesame) from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in London, gaining registration as a Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
Since qualifying as a registered Dramatherapist I have been working with bereaved children who attend Grief Encounter Southwest, a bereavement charity which offers therapeutic services to children and their families. I offer individual and group drama and movement therapy sessions to children and young people who suffer the loss of a parent or sibling.
Whilst my current role is predominantly focused on bereavement I inevitably meet and work with additional concerns of clients including mental health issues such as trauma, anxiety, eating disorders, developmental needs, family dynamics, self-harm and depression. I continue to develop my interest and skills in supporting individuals with SEND. Through my practice as a Dramatherapist I offer a confidential, interactive and non-judgmental environment for my clients where individuality is accepted. Influenced by the work of C.G Jung and Marie Louise Von Franz I have a particular interest in working with myth, story and dream work, utilizing theses as tools to explore the depths of the unconscious in a safe and contained manner. Following a client led approach I respond flexibly and creatively to varying needs as they arise.
